Flat Roof Replacement (Re-Roof) or Retro-Fitting (Re-Covering)

The full-removal of the flat roofing system, involves removal of the surface membrane and roofing insulation to the deck to enable installation of the new system.
A Recover (retro-fit, overlay, re-covering) involves covering an existing flat roofing system with a new roof membrane. This process requires removal of all wet, damaged, or deteriorating roof insulation prior to the new roof being installed.
Both methods are appropriate for flat roofing that can no longer be repaired through regular maintenance, are showing signs of serious deterioration, or are regularly leaking.
