A Flat Roof is a Critical Investment
The roof is a vital part of the building and thus a substantial and critical investment.
Whether you’re considering the environmental benefits of green / sustainable “cool membranes”, a conventional flat roofing system, or are looking for ways to extend the life of an existing roof, our expertise and commitment to quality will ensure your system will be built to last and will extend the life of your building.
We believe in an educated client, it is our hope the following guide will assist you in the process of managing your investment:
Flat Roof Replacement (Re-Roof) or Retro-Fitting (Re-Covering)
No roof will last forever – not even the very best installed by the very best flat roofers. A re-roof or retro-fitting can help maintain a healthy building and your valued investment.
The full-removal of the flat roofing system, involves removal of the surface membrane and roofing insulation to the deck to enable installation of the new system.
A Recover (retro-fit, overlay, re-covering) involves covering an existing flat roofing system with a new roof membrane. This process requires removal of all wet, damaged, or deteriorating roof insulation prior to the new roof being installed.
Both methods are appropriate for flat roofing that can no longer be repaired through regular maintenance, are showing signs of serious deterioration, or are regularly leaking.
At the time of your initial assessment, we will be able to give you a good idea of what, if any moisture is present.
Roofs are not installed in a controlled environment – projects have many variables. The type of material, application, job-site conditions, and weather all affect a flat roofing project. But even with all those variables, we strive to deliver a top-quality flat system.
In addition to our own standards for quality, you will have an iron clad workmanship guarantee, a manufacturer’s membrane or system warranty, and we adhere to guidelines set out by CRCA recommendations.
We also pay close attention to safety. Our safety practices are designed to ensure that our staff and the other trades working on-site stay safe and healthy and return home to their family safe and healthy every day.
Working Together : Management, Roofing Consultants, and Owners
Our management work with project consultants, designers, manufacturers, facility managers, and general contractors to achieve the best installation possible at the most fair and competitive price.
Once a contract has been agreed and executed, we carefully review the construction schedules for installation and project details with the owner and the applicators before your flat roofing project begins.
